Attach a copy of your words to this assignment Thursday- Using Microsoft Word, type each word and definition 3 times each. Email a copy of this assignment to me Friday- You have a Spelling Test tomorrow. I suggest you study and prepare for it. | History: For the week of July 4, 2004 Chapter 2- Civilizations in Mesopotamia: It is imperative that you are able to not only regurgitate this material but apply it as well. You will be tested on July 30. The test will comprise vocabulary from the chapter, multiple choice, questions from the review sections and real life applications. Tuesday: New Inventions and Architecture and Religious Beliefs- Read the material on pages 73-75. Complete All questions within the Reading, define all yellow highlighted words and create 3 questions that will help you prepare for the test. You Must provide the answers to the questions and the page number on which the answers are found. Email a copy of this assignment to me and print a copy for you notebook. Thursday: The Role of Government and Changing Economy- Read the information on pages 75 and 76. Complete ALL questions within the reading assignment, define all yellow highlighted words, and compare the material you have read with the role of government in todays society-meaning how are they similar, and how are they different? Also give examples on how they are alike and how they are different Saturday: Divisions in Society and Innovations- Read the material on pages 77-78, answer the questions within the reading, and define the yellow highlighted words |

| Science: You will be tested on Chapter 2-Classification on August 2, 2004 @ 4:00pm. Remember you must KNOW the material. So I suggest you take the time to prepared for this exam. Monday: Lesson 1: Classification of Living Things- Read pages A42 and A43. Answer the questions under Find Out and on page A43. Also create a table like the one on the pages in the reading, and define the yellow highlighted words. Email a copy of this assignment to me and print yourself a copy for your notebook. Wednesday: How are Living Things Classified and Plants- Read pages A44- A45- Answer the questions within the reading, define yellow highlighted words, and create 4 study questions. You must include the page number on which the answer can be found, and you must answer the questions you create |

| Reading: Ask yourself "Why did Mom buy this book?" and the answer you should come up with is "For me to read". That would be why it is called a reading book. I fully expect you to be able to recall general information about the stories you have readt. Please do not let me ask you a question about a single story I have assigned and you not be able to answer it. If you really want to impress me you should know the author of the story, but that is not required. Monday- Trapped by the Ice by Michael McCurdy- In your Reading Book- Read pages 209-227. Answer questions 1-5 on page 228 Wednesday- Complete pages 232-235. |
